The City of Sanford is accepting applications for the following board vacancies:
- Citizen At-Large seat on the Friends of Sanford, Inc. Board; term expires June 30, 2025; and
- City-Appointed seat on the Joint Environmental Affairs Board; term expires June 30, 2027.
To be eligible, candidates must meet these requirements:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be registered to vote in Lee County; and
- reside within Sanford's city limits.
Applications can be picked up at the City Clerk’s office at the Sanford Municipal Center, located at 225 E. Weatherspoon Street in Sanford. Applications are also available on our website, along with descriptions and bylaws for the boards.
