The City of Sanford's customer service department partnered with a local nursing and rehabilitation center to provide Christmas gifts to residents who may not otherwise receive gifts this year.
Center staff selected three residents and provided wish lists for them. Employees enjoyed shopping for items, which included blankets, clothing, crafts, snacks, and the most requested treat — Coca Cola!
Gifts were delivered to the center's front desk for distribution by staff. All gift items were purchased by City of Sanford employees. The City of Sanford did not purchase any items.
As a reminder, the City of Sanford’s offices are closed on Friday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 27 in observance of Christmas.
