Beginning Wednesday, June 11, City of Sanford and Lee County Government services located in the Sanford Buggy Company building at 115 Chatham Street will reopen to the public for walk-in services.
This marks the return of in-person services following the building’s temporary closure due to flash flooding and storm-related damage on June 5.
All City and County services based at the Buggy building, including Environmental Health and the Inspections Department, have resumed in-person assistance during regular business hours. Services remained fully accessible by phone, email, and online throughout the temporary closure.
In addition to in-person services, the City and County encourage residents to continue using the services available online:
- The Inspections Department’s digital services are available here. Staff are also available to answer questions by phone at 919-718-4654 or by email at buildingpermits@sanfordnc.net.
- Environmental Health online services are available here via the County’s website. Assistance related to questions or services is available by phone at 919-718-4641 or by e-mail at envhealth@leecountync.gov.
