The City of Sanford's Engineering Division seeks proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide design services necessary to complete two FY 2022 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Neighborhood Revitalization projects (CDBG-NR).
Project: Washington Avenue
This CDBG-NR project consists of the installation of public infrastructure for 45 lots of a new single-family affordable housing development and a 16-unit supportive housing, multi-family development on Washington Avenue.
The project will provide for infrastructure improvements including grading/erosion, water and sewer lines, streets, sidewalks, curb and gutters, and pedestrian improvements.
The project will be financed with $950,000 of CDBG funds, which are more than 30 percent of the total project cost.
Project: Jackson Heights
This CDBG-NR project consists of the installation of public infrastructure for both existing and new single-family houses located along Charlotte Avenue from 11th to 17th streets and serving the Jackson Heights neighborhood.
The project will provide for infrastructure improvements to public utility services to be developed including grading/erosion, water and sewer lines, streets, street resurfacing, sidewalks, multi-use path, flood and drainage improvements/curb and gutters.
The project will be financed with $4,947,521 of CDBG funds, which cover the total project cost.
