To continue collecting feedback and sharing information on mobility hubs, the S-Line project team will host three pop-up tables in Sanford over the next few days.
A mobility hub is an accessible, central location for transit services, such as rail, bike, and rideshare options. Typically, mobility hubs also offer amenities and supporting technologies like charging stations, a plaza or mini park, and bike and scooter rentals.
Community members are encouraged to stop by one of the tables to discuss Sanford’s mobility needs, learn more about mobility hub options and related economic development opportunities, and share their vision for or concerns about a potential hub.
The team will be located at:
- The Sanford Parks Department’s concert at Kiwanis Family Park on Thursday, July 18 from 6pm to 8:30pm.
- Temple Park on the corner of McIver and Seventh streets on Friday, July 19 from 4pm to 7pm.
- The Sanford Farmers’ Market in the Chatham Street Parking Lot on Saturday, July 20 from 9am to 11am.
The City has also created a survey to better understand the types of transportation currently in use in Sanford. The survey provides an opportunity for respondents to share their thoughts about meeting the city’s mobility needs now and in the future. Take the survey at www.sanfordnc.net/mobilityhub.
Note, the survey is an additional tool for collecting feedback about mobility hub planning in Sanford. Staff’s goal is for the public to participate in both input opportunities.
