The City of Sanford Engineering Division has adopted new street specifications, effective July 1, 2024.
The street specifications codify the City’s design and construction standards for roadway and development projects within the city limits. The goal of this specification is to provide roads that are aesthetically pleasing, ride well, and require less maintenance.
Key components of the new specification include the requirement for a pavement design based on the soil conditions, and the timing of placement of the final lift of asphalt.
