The Sanford Fire Department will conduct a live burn training exercise at 1200 McNeill Road on Tuesday, November 7 from 9 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Live burn exercises are an important part of the department’s training program. “These exercises provide firefighters with an opportunity to safely and efficiently train to fight fires in a controlled and supervised environment, says Fire Chief Matt Arnold.
McNeill Road will remain open during the exercise. The public should expect heavy smoke in the area that day.
