The N.C. Department of Transportation is seeking feedback on upcoming projects on U.S. 1/ U.S. 15-501 and Tramway Road.
The proposed changes include:
- improving U.S. 1/U.S. 15-501 to a Reduce Conflict Intersection sometimes called Synchronized Street from U.S. 15/US 501 (White Hill Road)/Rocky Fork Church Road to north of Bryan Drive; and
- upgrading U.S. 1/U.S.15-501 to a Synchronized Street from south of Bryan Drive to north of Carthage Street and the relocation of Tramway Road.

Construction is anticipated to start in the fall of 2025 with completion expected in fall 2028.
The deadline for public input on these changes and all alternate proposals is October 29, 2021.
