The City of Sanford is accepting sealed bids for purchase of the house located at 115 North First Street in Sanford.
Bids will be accepted until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Public Works Director Fedd Walker will open the bids at 2 p.m. on September 2, 2025, in Council Chambers at the Sanford Municipal Center, located at 225 E. Weatherspoon Street in Sanford. All bids received shall be opened in public and the amount of each bid announced and recorded.
The record of bids will be reported to Sanford City Council during their work session scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1 p.m.
The Council will determine the highest responsible bidder for the property and will award the bid at its regular meeting on September 16, 2025. Bids will remain open and subject to acceptance until December 2, 2025, which is 91 days from the bid opening date.
The house must be severed from the land and moved at the purchaser’s expense to a location within Sanford’s city limits.
