Strategic Framework

The City of Sanford’s Strategic Framework serves as a guiding tool that reflects Sanford City Council’s vision and priorities for the city. The tool provides direction for decision making that is supported by key goals and focus areas based on the needs and aspirations of our community.

City officials and staff use the Strategic Framework to ensure that daily operations, long-term planning, and resource allocation are aligned with the City's mission and values. Whether developing a new program, considering a budget proposal, or responding to community feedback, this framework provides a shared foundation for consistent and effective governance.

By using the Strategic Framework, we aim to deliver high-quality services, promote transparency, and build a stronger, more resilient Sanford for everyone.

This process began during Fiscal Year 2022-2023 with assistance from the Central Pines Regional Council.


Reporting

The City of Sanford evaluates the year's programs, services, and initiatives at the end of the fiscal year to determine its progress on meeting the goals and objectives outlined in the Strategic Framework. The results are compiled into a report that helps Sanford City Council establish the upcoming year's priorities.
