Bee Sculptures

To honor the vital role honey bees play in keeping our community healthy and thriving, the Appearance Commission is installing bee sculptures throughout the city.

Sponsor a Sculpture

Sculptures cost $4,000, which includes purchase of the sculpture, shipping, storage, artist fee, clear coating, and installation.

Donations of any amount are welcome. Donations of $1,000+ qualify to be listed on plaques installed at the sculptures. Those who sponsor a full bee ($4,000) will have the opportunity to consult with staff and the artist on the bee design, and only that donor's name will be listed on the plaque.

Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Submit a check made payable to Friends of Sanford, Inc. with "Bee Sculpture" on the memo line. Checks may be delivered to the Buggy Company Building at 115 Chatham Street in Sanford or mailed to:
