The City of Sanford contracts with Waste Industries for recycling services. Waste Industries uses single-stream recycling, which allows residents to put all their recycling in a single container that is then transferred to a recycling center and separated by a team of specialists.

Every household receives one 96-gallon trash cart as part of their solid waste fee. Waste is picked up weekly by Waste Industries, a GFL company. Find your home’s weekly pickup day here.
If your home produces more waste than the 96-gallon cart will hold, you can request additional waste carts from Waste Industries. There is an additional charge per extra cart.
