David Von Canon

You will not find a manager more familiar with his course than David von Canon, who has worked at the Municipal Golf Course since he graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill in 1994.

David was promoted to manager on January 1, 1998 and earned Class A PGA Status in March of 1999. His main goal at the course is to ensure that every person who comes out has an enjoyable experience, no matter whether they come to chip, putt, drive, or just watch.

David tries to provide a quality golf course and a high level of service to meet and exceed that goal. He has two daughters who are active in art, gymnastics and horseback riding. He's slowly introducing them to golf and enjoys spending family time together on the greens.

Brandon Honeycutt

A graduate of Lee Christian High School, Brandon Honeycutt has been a golf lover since he was a child.

He went on to earn a Golf Business Management Degree from the Golf Academy of the Carolinas in Myrtle Beach and was hired as the Assistant Golf Course Manager in July of 2006.

His goal is to promote and encourage Sanford-area young people to play golf, as well as give young golfers more opportunities to perfect and learn about their sport.
