The City of Sanford’s Parks and Grounds Department invites the community to enjoy a full season of free, family-friendly programming this fall.
The lineup is all about making the most of Sanford’s outdoor spaces, featuring yoga sessions, movies in the park, Halloween celebrations, and other seasonal activities.
“These events are designed to get families outside and to highlight the wonderful resources available in our parks,” said Caroline Jeffries, Parks & Grounds Administrator. “Whether you’re looking to relax, learn something, or just spend time with family, there’s something for everyone this season.”
First up: This Saturday, September 20, the department will host the Sanford Bike Rodeo for children. Attendees will learn safe riding techniques and meet local bike safety experts. Children who attend the event can receive a free bike helmet while supplies last.
The full fall lineup includes:
- Outdoor movies: Enjoy family movie nights on select Friday evenings and animated movie screenings on select Saturday mornings.
- Yoga: Relax, recharge, and enjoy guided yoga sessions for all levels.
- Education: Award-winning master beekeeper Jody Moore will share all about bees and honey.
- Festivals: Get creative at the ChalkWalk & Artisan Fair and bring a bucket for the Sanford Fire Department’s first candy drop.
All events will take place at Kiwanis Family Park and are free and open to all.
