The City of Sanford Appearance Commission is currently accepting proposals for a mural to be installed at Southern Lee High School.
The mural will be a gift from the Southern Lee Class of 2025 to commemorate the school’s 20th anniversary. Proposals must be submitted by January 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The mural must be installed by May 15, 2025.
The budget for the mural is $8,000 and includes the artist’s labor fee, surface preparation, mural protection/maintenance plan, supplies, travel-related expenses, and any other associated costs.
To be considered, artists must either live in North Carolina or have been raised in North Carolina.
