The City of Sanford and the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Integrated Mobility Division invite the community to participate in a multi-day design workshop for a potential mobility hub in Downtown Sanford.
A mobility hub is a place of connectivity and accessibility where different travel options come together, with supporting amenities and technologies. These hubs make it easier to transfer from one form of travel to another, such as taking a bike to catch the train.
The workshop will run from November 18 through November 20 in the Buggy Conference Room of the Buggy Company Building, located at 115 Chatham Street. The public can drop in any time between 1pm and 4pm during the first two days to participate.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see conceptual designs, including architecture, amenities, and other aesthetics, and make suggestions. In many cases, project staff can incorporate those suggestions in real time.
At the end of each day, staff will pin-up that day’s conceptual designs, including feedback and recommendations from the public. A final recap of the multi-day workshop will be presented on November 20 from 5pm to 6:30pm.
