Information Systems

The Information Systems Department is responsible for the design and 

implementation of all City of Sanford Systems that include Servers, PCs, 

Networking Equipment, Software and Peripherals.  The wide area network 

is comprised of ten city government buildings:  City Hall/Police Station, Public 

Works Service Center, City Garage, Central Fire Station, Jonesboro Fire Station, 

Fire Station No. 3, Federal Building, Sanford Municipal G.C., Water Plant, and 

Wastewater Plant.  Numerous servers are in place at each location to accomplish 

tasks such as creating 11,000 monthly water bills, handling emergency calls, 

managing work orders, state reporting, and many others.
