Risk Management

The Risk Management Office is involved in three major activities which are currently divided between Human Resources and Public Works.  The first is the monitoring of Worker’s Compensation claims on behalf of the city’s employees, this duty is currently assigned to Human Resources.  The last two responsibilities have been assigned to Public Works.   Development of a comprehensive employee health and safety program, which includes a training program covering more than thirty (30) class topics; development of a safety manual; working for OSHA compliance; and reducing the number of repeat injuries.  Lastly, the office is responsible for the administration of the liability insurance programs that insures the assets of the City of Sanford.
