[ARCHIVED] 2019 Sanford Block Party | April 27

Help clean up and beautify a section of our city!

Volunteers will start the day with breakfast, followed by a morning of landscaping, light painting, and light construction where needed. After, lunch and entertainment will be provided.

This is the 9th annual Sanford Block Party. Previous clean-ups were on Charlotte Avenue, McIver Street, Maple Avenue, Hawkins Avenue, Steele Street, Woodland Avenue, McIntosh Street, and the W.B. Wicker School area. This year's location will be the Temple Ballpark area.

Tentative day-of-event details: Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m. and welcome remarks will be at 9:00 a.m.

Who can help?

Anyone is welcome to come volunteer, whether as an individual or with a group.

How to help?

Homes along this stretch need light repair and beautification, such as painting, mowing, raking, and landscaping.

We ask that volunteers bring their own tools if they can, including rakes, shovels, painting tools, lawn mowers, weed eaters, gloves, etc.

What donations are needed?

This project requires repair and landscaping tools and materials, as well as food, beverages, and entertainment for those who volunteer.

Each year, the community and local businesses step up to help out.
