The N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold a public drop-in meeting on Thursday at the Elks Lodge to present proposed improvements to Carthage Street between Fire Tower Road and Wicker Street. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather the public's input before plans are finalized. The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
Maps showing the preliminary design for the project will be available for review at the meeting. Copies of the project’s State Environmental Assessment/Finding of No Significant Impact will also be available for review at the meeting.
Residents who cannot attend the meeting are encouraged to submit comments via phone, email, or mail by December 27, 2018
